TOO MUCH OF A COINCIDENCE
I am fascinated by this particular form of ‘alien’ technology of what would appear to be a ‘transportation’ device. There are many documented accounts by witnesses of having been ‘floated’ up in these beams in order to enter the craft. The similarities described by many experiencers’ of these beams is fascinating, and for me adds to the credibility of cases involving abduction and the entry procedure into alien craft.
In my case I noticed that it did not touch the ground nor did it light up the ground, as a beam of light would do. The same applied to the top of the beam therefore throwing no illumination onto the craft which appeared as a huge dense black oval shape in the night sky completely blocking out the stars in that area. Mine was about three feet in diameter and rising at a 60 degree angle to a height of about thirty feet. It was a sort of transparent luminescent whitish colour.
If it is a beam of energy that somehow changes the molecular structure of whatever it is focussed on, then this would make sense in that it would not want to connect with the ground or indeed the ship it was emanating from as this may cause huge problems and unforeseen ‘stuff’ being collected. I do wonder though that when I walked into this beam, how did it get my feet? Perhaps it is a lifting/floating device which renders an object weightless in order for transportation to take place. Also in my instance I was resting/sitting against a very large stone object, which had the beam come down on me directly, would also have had this stone covered. Perhaps this is why the beam was some 10 feet away from me and that I had to walk towards it.
I estimated the craft above the beam to be some 20 or so meters in diameter and was pitch black and noiseless. It seems they also have amazing or dimensional technology in which they can camouflage these ships and stay stationary in the air, probably to do with electro-magnetism/gravity and waveforms.
There are many references relating to a beam by researchers on this topic.
Cases from ‘The UFO Encyclopedia’, 1991, compiled and edited by John Spencer:
In March 1965 in Fort Myers, Florida, James W. Flynn was ‘knocked out by a beam of light from the UFO which, after it had departed, proved to have left charred patches in the trees around the area where Flynn had observed it’. Allegedly the Pentagon were going to say this was a hoax but declined to do so in the face of evidence, some of which was medical. (Page 3)
In May 1969 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Jose Antonio Da Silva was fishing when he ‘noticed figures moving behind him and appears to have been struck by a beam of light, causing some paralysis and forcing him to his knees.’ He was ‘abducted’ on to a craft and after four days Da Silva was 200 miles away. (Pages 50,51)
In November 1982 in Botucatu, Brazil, Joao Valerio da Silva, was ‘abducted’ by a beam of light from his home. When his family found him, he was ‘naked and unconscious, his clothes piled next to him’, had red marks on his body and his penis had ‘strange lesions’. (Page 113)
In 1959 in Papua, New Guinea, Reverend William Gill, a Missionary, noticed one large and two smaller UFOs in the sky. He alerted others and in total, 38 people witnessed these crafts. Spencer reports ‘Occasionally a shaft of blue light was seen firing up into the sky from the object at 45 degree angle and there were report of port-holes or panels around the rim of the object.’ (Page 161)
In November 1987 in Gulf Breeze, Florida, Ed Walters saw a UFO and took 5 photos. ‘He was paralysed by a blue beam of light and physically lifted into the air’. This is an important case as there are multiple witnesses who had video and photographic evidence. Walters also ‘passed’ a lie detector. (Page 170)
In January 1970 in Southern Finland, Aarno Heinonen and Esko Viljo saw a very strong light and heard a buzzing sound’. The light was surrounded by a ‘luminous mist’. A ‘tube of light’ came from underneath the craft and ‘descended to the ground’. They witnessed ‘alien’ being in this light beam. (Page 201)
In April 1980 in Finland, Aino Ivanoff was driving when her car was surrounded by mist and ‘transported to a room where she was examined by small entities.’ (Page 205)
In October 1973 in Bahia Blanca, Dionisio Llanca ‘was driving down a deserted road when he was struck by a yellow beam of light and paralysed’. (page 241)
In May 1967 at Falcon Lake, Ontario, Stephen Michalak saw two cigar shaped UFOs. He witnessed ‘purple light beaming out of openings’ from the craft that had landed. When he examined the craft more closely, he suffered burns from the exhaust or ventilation outlet and was hospitalised (Page 271)
In November 1978 in Weedon, Northamptonshire, Elsie Oakensen was driving down the A5 when she saw (her words) ‘a couple of very bright lights above the road, a red light on the left hand side and a green light on the right hand side. They were attached to a dumb bell shaped object, which was grey, very smooth, and hovering about one hundred feet above the road. It was about fifty feet wide.’ She went underneath this craft, had problems with the electrics in her car and was immersed in complete blackness. She continues ‘As I sat there, a circle of brilliant white light about a yard in diameter shone on to the road’. She describes the lights as ‘completely circular with no beams at all’. (Page 291,292)
In November 1975 Travis Walton was in a forest in Arizona with six other people when he was ‘knocked senseless to the ground by a beam of light from a hovering UFO’. (Good, 1991 p68) The others ran off and on their return, Walton was nowhere to be seen. Walton recalls that when he regained consciousness he found himself on board a craft with ‘alien’ beings. He is returned by the craft to a pavement in Heber, Arizona. Apparently five days had elapsed since he was knocked to the ground by the light beam.
‘And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face and stood behind them.’ (Bible Exodus Chapter 14 verse 19)
‘Cases from UFO Sightings’, 1995 by Peter Brookesmith.
March 1905, Cardiff, Wales ‘Witnesses reported an appearance like a vertical beam of light’. (Page 24)
October 1963 in Tucuman, Argentina, the Moreno family witnessed a disc shaped UFO outside their house surrounded by a white mist. A solid light beam emitted from the craft ‘extending itself like a tube’. From this tube other lights probed the outbuildings. ‘The beams were perfectly cylindrical and measured about 10 ft (3m) in width.’ (Page 78)
December 1980 Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk, Lt Col. Charles Halt investigated lights coming down for the sky and came across a craft that was ‘metallic in appearance’. ‘It illuminated the entire forest with white light and had a pulsing red light on top and a bank of blue lights underneath. There are also simultaneous reports of aliens apparently floating in a beam of light beneath the UFO.’ (Page 123)
November 1989 Manhattan Island, New York, Linda Cortile, under hypnosis, recalled three or four aliens had come into her room and that she had floated through her closed apartment window by the aliens. She then entered a ‘blue beam of light and was taken aboard a craft that was hovering above the building.’ This case was multiply witnessed. (Page 136)
In his book ‘Confrontations’ scientist, Jacques Vallee’s said his research had led him to believe that ‘UFO’s are able to focus on selected human subjects a beam of radiation that contains, among other things, pulsed microwaves that interfere with the central nervous system. Such a beam could cause the dizziness, headaches, paralysis, pricklings, and numbness reported to us by so many witnesses. It could also create long-terms behavioural effects, changes in sleep patterns, even delusionary episode and hallucinations. It is the entire phenomenology of UFO contact claims that will now have to be revised.’ (Page 224,225)
In Paul Devereux’s book ‘Earth Lights’, he studies the phenomenon of UFO lights and quotes the following: ‘The impression of fluidity is strongly noted by witnesses of this aspect of the UFO phenomenon. UFO light can bend and curve, and tends not to light up surroundings. The beams of light are sometimes withdrawn into a spheroid slowly so the end of the light beam can be seen. On way to explain such odd appearance of light is to assume that the electromagnetic effect is present but invisible and only becomes discernible through some process of illumination which reveals it in stages. So in the case of the light beam, the ‘end’ is only the point where the photon-producing process ceases. Heering admits that ionisation could be part of such a process but feels it does not answer all the characteristics of the phenomenon.’
Devereux draws upon the Dutch researcher, Jan Heering’s work. Heering has made a study of the ‘solid light’ characteristics apparent in some UFO events. Here are examples of five different events taken from witnesses’ experiences quoted in an article by Heering:
‘My first impression was that the machine stood on the ground by means of legs or pillars. Then I realized they weren’t legs but light beams. I thought for a moment that it was a telescopic antenna coming out of the device; however, a few instants later, I realized that it was actually a beam of light … it came out with an exaggerated slowness, like the antenna of a snail.’ (Page 213, 214)
In Marc Davenport’s book, ‘Visitors from Time’, he draws on sightings of UFOs in Mosqueiro, Brazil in1977, where, in the space of a few months, many different shaped UFOs of different sizes were witnessed. ‘Every night, they were seen by hundreds, perhaps thousands of witnesses. Some came from the sky, some rose out of the ocean. They were photographed by scientists, military teams and journalists. The entire area was in a panic. Some 20 people were injured by beams of light from the objects.’ (Page 27)
Davenport sites further cases where lights or beams have been witnessed from UFOs.
In January 1974, John Justice was leaving his job as a night watchman ‘when his car’s headlights suddenly dimmed and its engine failed. A rainbow-like light descended nearby in front of him, then ‘blinked out’, leaving a brightly-glowing, oval, gold, transparent UFO visible when it had been.’ (Page132)
In January 1996 three women, Mona Stafford, Louise Smith and Elaine Thomas were driving from Lancaster, Kentucky, to Liberty. ‘A red glow descended to treetop height beside their car, stopped, hovered and formed into a sharply-defined, silent, disc-shaped UFO 100 feet wide with ‘windows’, red and yellow flashing lights, and a brilliant blue-white dome. It manoeuvred around the car, emitting light beams. Mrs Smith stopped the car and stepped out, but seemed to be paralysed. Mrs Stafford pulled her back inside.’ (Page 132)
In October 1967 in Boyup Brook, Australia, a contractor was driving at night ‘when his engine and headlights failed. His car stopped but he felt no deceleration. He looked up through a two-foot-wide beam that seemed to be aimed at him. He saw a pulsating oval UFO surrounded by a blue glow. It appeared to be 30 feet in diameter.’ (Page 170)
In June 1974 in Rhodesia, a couple were driving when they noticed they were paced by a bright, revolving light. Their headlights faded, and some external force took control of the car, accelerator, brakes and steering did not affect its progress. The temperature in the car fell about 30 degrees. When they neared Fort Victoria, the light sped away, and the car once again responded. Soon after they resumed their trip south, two lights appeared and paced them, and they once again lost control.’ (Page 171, 172)
In November 1975 in Happy Camp, USA, Helen White was allegedly abducted. She recalls rising into the UFO in a beam of light. (Page 174) This is a common phenomena experienced by abductees.
In September 1968 in Mendoza, Argentina, Juan Carlos Peccinetti and Jose Fernando Villegas were driving when ‘their car’s engine and headlights failed and the car stopped. Peccinetti’s watch stopped. The two men felt paralysed. They saw an oval UFO 13 feet wide hovering 4 feet over a vacant lot. It shone a searchlight beam at the ground. Hairless Humanoids ‘floated across the ditch and approached the car.’ They pricked each man’s finger and ‘ascended to the UFO along a light beam. The UFO then ascended with an ‘explosive effect’ and a ‘vast radiance’ and flew away.’ (Page 185, 186)
In February 1991 in Buckinghamshire, three youths were driving home in a car. They saw lights in the sky and decided to pull into a field to further observe the phenomenon. Jenny Randles’s reports that after the car’s engine and lights failed ‘a brilliant beam of light poured out of the object, just 50 feet away. This enveloped the car and B could not even see the steering wheel in front of him. A faint humming sound was also reported by two of the three witnesses, but only at this point … C, in the front seat, tried to open the door to leap out but it was as if it were glued shut … One youth screamed, the others say (he denies it). A admits he lay flat on the seat, buried his head in his hands and closed his eyes.
Reflexively, B turned the ignition again, and then everything happened at once. The light beam, humming, and UFO vanished instantly and the car was working.’ (‘The UFO Report’, 1992, Timothy Good, Page 143)

In October 1972 in Aveley, Essex, The Day family were driving when they spotted a moving oval shape in the sky about 50 yards from them. It was an iridescent bluish light. This object seemed to follow them for some miles. ‘The engine had stopped. No, it was just silent. They were still moving, the radio was playing normally, but they couldn’t hear the sound of the car engine.’ The car was then enveloped by a thick green mist or fog. John and Sue Day remember the car feeling colder. John said that he continued driving. They felt the car jolt and the mist was gone.
Andy Collins investigated their case in August 1977 and John agreed to have hypnosis. During this he recalled ‘A white pillar of light cut through the greenness. John gauged it was just six feet ahead of his car. The weird fog completely engulfed the vehicle yet there was no mistaking it. That strange pillar of light, about four feet in diameter, was definitely moving towards them. The pillar seemed to latch on to the vehicle. Then a feeling of rising, of ascent, as if something were pulling the vehicle upwards.’ (Page 67)
In March 1982 in Yorkshire, Tracey Jones, whilst driving along a deserted road on the Moors, became ‘aware that the whole of the offside of her car was bathed in a blue light … She then noticed in the offside mirror two lights, one red and one blue, about the size of car headlights. They were side by side, and giving off a soft, diffuse light which did not appear to have a beam, but was bright enough to light up the whole side of the car … Suddenly, a very bright white light beamed downwards on to the road and adjoining field, just including the car inside the edge of the circle of light. She described the beam as cone-shaped, widening from a point at the top to a circle about thirty feet in diameter where it struck the ground. The main body of the light was white, making the grass on the field a vivid green, but at the centre the light was different, showing the grass as brown as if it had been scorched. She told me she could not describe the colour of this central beam, but could only recall the effect it had on the grass.’ (‘Alien Investigator’ by Tony Dodd, Page 63, 64)
In July 1995 in Derbyshire, four neighbours were having a late evening BBQ when Annie saw a large disc-shaped craft. ‘Around the bottom were white flashing light which appeared to be rotating in an anti-clockwise direction. It was about twenty feet in diameter, and a dark, metallic colour. Annie’s scream alerted the others, who looked up in stunned silence as a door on the underside of the craft opened and a powerful shaft of light shone down into the garden. At this point, all four witnesses began to feel light-headed. They later described it as a dream-like, confused state.’ (Page 88, 89)
In September 1991 in Maryland, Carol encountered a UFO whilst driving and when she got out of her car she approached an ‘alien’ being. She was ‘within several yards of him’ when ‘they both began to float upwards together at about a thirty-degree angle into the air, with the Being in front of her. As they rose, the were both tilted forward enough that Carol, looking straight ahead, was in fact peering down through the fog at the tops of the trees bordering the road. The rate of ascent was fast enough to make Carol nauseous. She tried to close her eyes but couldn’t; she couldn’t even blink.
Her arms and legs hung down limply. They felt heavy, as if they were being dragged up by her torso. She did retain some movement of her head, she discovered, and to keep herself from feeling vertiginous, she bent here had backwards as far as she could and rolled her eyes upwards. That’s when she saw an object huge and very dark overhead, ‘like a black cloud,’ she tells me.’ (‘Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind’ by C.D.B. Bryan, Page 391)
Christopher Martin, in his book ‘Intruders in the Night’, notes that many abductees have reported being transported by a beam of light. He cites Vicki Hopkins, who, ‘on numerous occasions, subsequently remembered being floated out of her bedroom and into the hovering disc outside, in a strange beam of light that enabled her to literally float through the window. He thinks this may suggest that ‘the light beam somehow can alter one’s molecular structure or density at a sub atomic level to that of a semisolid state thereby allowing solid matter to pass through other solid matter. This would also explain other abductees’ accounts of being transported out through locked doors of window and sometime even through solid brick walls.’ (Page 43)
In May 1973 in the Sao Jose Mountains, Brazil, a travelling salesman was driving when his car radio and later his engine began to fail. ‘A blue beam from the sky penetrated the car. Assuming a truck was coming, he managed to steer the car off the road but no other vehicle appeared. Jumping out in panic, the man was smothered by an overpowering heat as the blue beam shone onto him. It was emerging from an opaque oval shape in the sky, out of which a tube or funnel was appearing. The beam made his car look transparent. His skin was also burning. He stumbled away and collapsed on the ground. He was discovered some hours later by two people in a passing car.’ (‘The Song of the Greys’ by Nigel Kerner, Page 14)
In May 1974 in Durban, South Africa, Peter was driving with a passenger when he saw ‘a light in the sky, and the journey seemed weird in many ways. They did not recall being taken into a UFO, but when hypnotized several months later, the man Peter recalled that they had been ‘programmed’ inside the car and that the entities in the UFO controlled the car by sending down beams of light. He did not go into the craft, but could see inside it via the light beams. A figure was beamed into the car, and he sat on the back seat throughout the journey.’ (‘Life Beyond Planet Earth’ by Janet and Colin Bord, Page 108)
Claude Vorilhon, (now known as Rael) former motor racing driver, born in 1946, who had a life changing alien encounter in the South of France, in 1973, has moved on to pass his alien ‘communications’ on to the world and now has one of the largest UFO movements in the world known as The Raelian Society.
I find it very curious that his personal account of his encounter, which is very detailed, involved a UFO landing in front of him and then he says ‘A trap door opened beneath the machine and a kind of stairway unfolded to the ground.’ (‘The Final Message’, Rael Page 20)
In ‘UFO Case Files of Scotland’ by Malcolm Robinson, another more recent case is cited. This was in August 1992 in Scotland and is known as the A70 case (shortly to be made into a film). Gary Wood and Colin Wright were driving when they spotted a two-tiered disc shaped UFO which was about 20 feet above the road. Colin and Gary both underwent hypnosis and Colin remembers ‘being led up a ramp into this object’. (Page 151)
My point about this is I wonder if what they really meant was a beam as so many well documented abduction cases report, rather than a physical staircase which would seem out of context with the technology that we are dealing with.
There are many references to beams in ‘The Allagash Abductions’, by Raymond E Fowler and I would like to highlight a few of these witnesses’ testimonies.
In August 1976 in Allagash, Maine, twins Jack and Jim Weiner were abducted along with 2 friends. Under hypnotic regression Jim recalls being inside a moving tube which he described as ‘when you blow smoke through a light beam, you know? You can see it. Oh! I know how. Like when dust, when you see dust, when you see dust particles in a light beam.’ (Page 43) In a later session Jack says ‘The tube … it start to move … coming towards us … makes me feel like I’m coming apart! I’m oing to be sick … happening so fast.’ Tony (the hypnotherapist) asks him ‘Do you feel like you’re coming apart? Do you get the sensation that you’re coming together again?’ Jack says ‘Yes … in the canoe.’ (Page 307) This would fit in with Jan Heering’s theory of the possible molecular breakdown and re-composition and Sharon Neill’s psychic reading of my abduction beam experience.
Fowler reports ‘One should bear in mind that each of the witnesses was more or less affected by the tranquilizing and memory lapse imposed by the aliens during the exit. Each described their entrance from the craft from their own mental ability and perspective. It would appear that the opening in the wall was the upper end of the hollow beam of light that originally drew them up into the craft. The area below the craft was illuminated by its glowing rim as they were being lowered through its hollow centre. As in most cases, their method of exit was the exact reverse of their original capture.’ (Page 308)
